Before you request a demo
Yorick drives a cart with a camera through our hall in Aalten. You will get to know the hardware and software of the ACROS, see the tables and cutting results up close, and can simply ask your questions along the way. This makes it feel as if you are standing in the hall yourself.
A live online demo takes approximately 20 to 30 minutes. We will send you the quote afterwards. A demo at our office in Aalten takes about an hour. We will then put the quote together with you.
The ACROS works with the MyPlasm CNC control software. It runs on Windows, so you will need a Windows PC or laptop. You load drawings as DXF files. MyPlasm CNC does not read STEP files, so export your design as a DXF from your CAD program.
The water tray under the cutting table collects most of the dust and smoke. Exhaust ventilation is always recommended, but a well-ventilated room is generally sufficient.
The software is designed to be used without any CNC experience. You will receive manuals, knowledge articles, and instructional videos, and if you get stuck, we can assist you remotely. How quickly you can start cutting independently depends mainly on your experience with drawing. In the demo, you will see the entire process from drawing to cut part.
The plasma source determines the cut quality, the table the size. Guideline values for steel with a clean cut edge: 12 to 15 mm with 45 A, 25 to 35 mm with 75 or 80 A, and 30 to 40 mm with 100 or 125 A. Thicker is possible, but the cut will be rougher. For stainless steel and aluminum, the values are lower. If you are cutting for hours on end, choose a source that is one step more powerful.
We often deliver from stock, but lead times can vary. Toward the end of the year, they are usually 4 to 6 weeks for the ACROS 80SX and 150SX, and 8 to 10 weeks for the 200SX and 300SX. You connect the ACROS yourself; we do not offer on-site installation.
You receive a 2-year warranty on the ACROS. We ship replacement parts twice a week, on Tuesdays and Fridays.
The boundary does not lie with the form, but with the technical responsibility. For load-bearing or safety-critical parts, always work with known material data, checked drawings, and an appropriate release.
