TECHNIEK COLLEGE Rotterdam WORKS WITH a PRITEC Acros 150s CNC plasma cutting table
At Techniek College Rotterdam they were looking for a
low-threshold CNC machine so that students can cut parts for various mechanical engineering projects. These projects are mainly made of aluminum. Their eye fell on the Acros 150S. The goal of TCR is to be able to carry out projects that are comparable to projects from the business world, in order to give the students the right tools. All this takes place in their own practical room.

The first results are already there! Because with the Acros
150S a turntable has been cut out for the first project, namely a semi-automatic bottle filling machine. The bottles will move fully automated from one warehouse to the other warehouse. At the moment the bottle goes through the turntable it will pass 3 stations:
- The bottle is filled with liquid or rice (depending on the type of machine);
- The cap is placed on;
- The cap is pressed or screwed on (depending on the type of machine)
- Finally, the bottle is taken to the disposal warehouse.
All sheet material is manufactured from 2mm aluminium
and cut with the plasma cutting machine.
When the machine is ready and working, it is intended that it can be viewed during the open days. In this way, Techniek College Rotterdam wants to show (new) students how beautiful the technical profession is. In the hope that they will become enthusiastic and choose this wonderfully versatile profession.
